When an injury/accident occurs on campus, the nearest responsible adult must determine the severity of the injury, then act accordingly. Below is a list of our accident and injury protocols.

• In the case of accident or injury our school nurse, athletic trainer and security team will be contacted to take charge of the situation.
• WAB staff are trained as first responders and can initiate first aid if/when necessary.
• The school nurse or Security Department will call an ambulance if/when necessary.
• AED’s and spine boards (Automatic External Defibrillators) are located in the Elementary School next to the PE office, in the HUB next to the WAB X office and in the High School next to the PE office.
• Wheelchairs and crutches are located school section nurse's offices.
• Yellow WAB Emergency Procedure posters can be found on the back of all classroom doors and on the walls throughout all buildings on campus. These posters have numerous phone numbers to call in the case of an emergency.
• Staff are required to complete an Incident Report for any significant medical incidences that occur on campus.
• The Head of Campus, Security Manager and Facilites Manager will check the accident site immediately after an accident and will put into place any action required to make the area safe until the appropriate personnel arrive at the site.
