WAB is committed to working with Sodexo, our food service provider, and are proud of the numerous healthy and balanced lunch options offered throughout campus. To help us continually grow and improve we invite feedback from our community. Parent feedback, positive or negative, can be emailed to a member of the food committee.

The committee is made up of Parent Link representatives, vice principals, Sodexo's administration and our Head of Campus, Safety and Services. The committee members meet on the last Thursday of every month, shares feedback they have collected and then set forth an action plan to improve the food offerings and services.

Food-Related Student Feedback Process

If students have concerns about their food, they should:

• Notify the on-site manager, who will document the feedback with photos.
• Provide their name for follow-up. The manager will review and respond accordingly.
• If adjustments are needed in the kitchen, the manager will take appropriate action.
• The manager and chef will assess the situation. If it involves a product concern, the supplier will be contacted.
• Staff training will be conducted as needed to ensure quality and consistency.

Families are expected to link their child's smart card to the Sodexo WeChat mini-program mobile APP.

WAB prefers students to use their smart card to purchase food, rather than their mobile phones digital currency, because parents can then track their purchases, recharge their accounts and it is quicker for the student to pay by simply tapping the smart card at the point of sale.

When a student enrolls at WAB, Sodexo will send the parents a unique QR code for that child. By using WeChat to scan the QR code, you will instantly register in the WeChat mini-program APP. The APP allows you to recharge smart cards, see purchase history, view menus and place lunch orders.

Sodexo is working diligently to find a balance of portion size which is healthy for our students and minimizes waste.

ES: Students can go up for seconds to any of the three "set menu" service lines regardless of which service line they purchased their food from initially. Carbohydrates, vegetables and/or proteins can be asked for in the second serving.

MS / HUB: Students can go up for seconds to either of the three "set menu" service lines (Roots & Seeds, Eat Global, Chef's Table) if they purchased their food from one of these service lines initially. Carbohydrates, vegetables and/or proteins can be asked for in the second serving.

HS: Students can go up for seconds to either of the two "set menu" service lines (Roots & Seeds, Chef's Table) if they purchased their food from one of these service lines initially. Carbohydrates, vegetables and/or proteins can be asked for in the second serving.

Once the wire-transfer transaction has been made please email [email protected] and [email protected] with your child’s full name, homeroom and amount deposited.

3. Send RMB notes in a sealed envelope labeled with your child’s full name, student number, and homeroom. Your child can give the envelope to their homeroom teacher, who will ensure it is delivered to the Sodexo cashier. Alternatively, you may load funds onto your child’s smart card directly with cash at the food service line when you are on campus.
