Leaving Procedures for Families
Are you leaving WAB? We will be sad to see you go and wish you the best in your next destination. Before you go, we need you to follow a few simple steps to help us ensure a smooth departure. Below you will find a checklist that will guide you through the leaving procedures.
- Please email the Admissions Office at [email protected] with the name of your child(ren), grade level(s), and the last day of school at WAB.
- Each of your children will need to complete a leaving form. A copy of this form can be found below and is also available at the reception areas of the Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Teachers must sign these forms.
- Completed forms must be returned to the corresponding reception desk.
- All library books and textbooks must be returned to the respective libraries.
- Food service provider (Sodexo) balances must be cleared.
- All students are encouraged to take any of the digital files they created during their time at WAB with them when they leave. Please refer to the guide for the steps: Student Leavers - Tech for Leaving Faculty - WAB Learns at Western Academy of Beijing.

For copies of school reports:
- All leaving students: Please email [email protected].
- High School leaving students: To request official transcripts to be sent to your next educational institution, please complete the "Official Transcript Request Form." A copy of this form can also be found below. We do not give official transcripts to parents or students.
Returning WAB ID Badges
Following WAB's safeguarding and security protocols it is an expectation that all WAB ID badges are returned no later than June 21.
- Leaving family ID badges (student, parent, driver, ayi) can be returned with the student's leavers form or can be dropped off at any of the collection boxes located in all main gate guardhouses or school section reception desks.
- Grade 12 student ID badges should be returned as part of their "Exit Form" process.
For your convenience, if you have 2 or more children enrolled in various school sections, we can arrange for you to pick up all school reports at one location.
Are you leaving after last day of school?
If you are notifying us AFTER the last day of the current school year that you are no longer returning to WAB for the coming school year, please email the Admissions and Finance Departments at the following emails: [email protected] AND [email protected] with the name of your student(s) and the reason for leaving.
