Established in 2009 by Ms. Xu Hong, a Chinese parent, the WAB Chinese Link has a rich history spanning 15 years, with 12 WAB Chinese parents serving across eight terms as leaders. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, 637 Chinese parent members, including 305 from Elementary, 160 from Middle School, and 172 from High School, actively participated in the Link. 

The goals and responsibilities of the Chinese Link are:

• To serve as a bridge between the school and Chinese parents, fostering smooth and positive communication channels for home-school cooperation.
• To provide comprehensive support for school-organized events and student-led club activities.
• To enrich the lives of the Chinese parent community through diverse social events, fostering a sense of belonging to the association and the school and friendships among parents.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the Chinese Link actively participated in seven significant events organized by the school, including the Picnic, Community Market, WAB Temple Fair, Staff Appreciation Day, Night Market, Parent Mixer, and Fun Fair & Rock in the Park. Through sales, donations, and volunteer recruitment, Chinese Link raised CNY 33,000 in donations for the school.

Additionally, Chinese Link hosts exclusive events tailored for Chinese parents, such as welcome and regular coffee mornings, graduate and parent sharing sessions for 12th and 8th-grade students and parents, junior and high school parent sharing sessions for elementary parents, and occasional Chinese-language-specific events such as All About Tests (SAT,、ACT &TOEFL) and College Admission Q&A sessions. These provide a platform for offline interaction and a deeper understanding of the school's educational policies and college admissions guidance.

The Chinese Link is structured with clear roles and responsibilities, including positions like President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, EY, ES, MS and HS Representatives, Grade Representatives, Swiss School Branch, and four specialized departments: Marketing & Publicity, Charity, and Sports & Culture. This ensures efficient organization and communication.

Looking ahead, Chinese Link will continue collaborating with the school, Parent Link, and other parent groups, carrying forward its unique characteristics and fine traditions. Together, we strive to maintain strong communication channels between the school and parents and contribute distinctive Chinese cultural activities to enrich the school community.

京西華人家長會成立于2009年,，由華人家長徐弘女士創(chuàng)立,，成立至今已有15年的歷史,，共計(jì)有12位華人家長任職過8屆負(fù)責(zé)人,。截至2023-2024學(xué)年,，全校共計(jì)637名華人家長參與了華人家長會,，其中小學(xué)305人,，初中160人,，高中172人,。
華人家長會的目標(biāo)和責(zé)任是：

• 成為聯(lián)結(jié)學(xué)校與華人家長的橋梁，為家校共建搭建順暢,、正面的溝通渠道,；
• 全方位支持學(xué)校組織的各類活動及學(xué)生所組織的社團(tuán)活動；
• 充實(shí)并豐富華人家長社區(qū)的生活,，讓家長在豐富多彩的社交和生活中建立起對華人家長會,、對學(xué)校的歸屬感和建立家長間的友誼。

以2023-2024年度舉例,，華人家長會積極參與過學(xué)校組織的Picnic,、Community Market,、京西廟會、Staff Appreciation Day,、Night Market,、Parent Mixer和 Fun Fair & Rock in the Park等7項(xiàng)主要活動，并為活動組織售賣,、捐贈物品及募集志愿者,，華人家長會通過全年活動的售賣共計(jì)向?qū)W校捐款33000元。

除此之外,，家長會還特為京西的華人家長舉辦迎新茶話會,、定期舉辦華人家長咖啡晨會、每年邀請12年級及8年級學(xué)生和家長舉辦京西畢業(yè)生分享會和家長分享會,、針對小學(xué)部舉辦初高中家長分享會,、以及不定期組織學(xué)校升學(xué)講座、學(xué)術(shù)答疑會中文版等特別活動,；為華人家長能夠更深入了解掌握學(xué)校的教學(xué)方針,、升學(xué)政策等提供了一個線下交流互動的平臺。
目前華人家長會設(shè)立有：會長,、副會長,、財(cái)務(wù)、秘書,、各學(xué)部代表,、各年級代表、瑞士學(xué)校分會等崗位,、以及特別設(shè)立宣傳部,、設(shè)計(jì)部、慈善部和文體部四分部,。做到職級責(zé)任分明,、組織及溝通及時(shí)有效。

華人家長會將在新學(xué)年中繼續(xù)與學(xué)校,、Parent Link和其他家長社團(tuán)相互協(xié)作,，發(fā)揚(yáng)華人家長會的特色和優(yōu)良傳統(tǒng)，共同努力為學(xué)校和家長建立良好溝通渠道及為學(xué)校貢獻(xiàn)更有特色的華人活動,。
