What brought your family to WAB/Beijing?
My mother's work as an educator.
Where are you located now?
Hong Kong, China
What are you doing now?
I am an Assistant Professor in Urban Planning and Design at the University of Hong Kong. My research is focused on the socio-environmental impacts of large-scale urban redevelopment and infrastructure projects and I have published widely in this area, including the books, Political Ecologies of Landscape and Pandemic Urbanism.
What's your fondest memory of WAB?
As I was only at WAB for one year, the opening of the new campus was an exciting and important milestone for the school and positively shaped my experience that year by giving me the opportunity to study on a new and modern campus.
Please share a story on how you are still making a difference today.
My work has engaged with policymakers to inform best practices in this area and provide feedback on planned or ongoing development projects. It has also shaped academic research in this area in the fields of urban studies and human geography, and has hopefully inspired my students along the way!
