Below are just some of the exciting events that we hold at the Western Academy of Beijing.
Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS)
In our continuing effort to Connect, Inspire, Challenge: Make a Difference, WAB regularly invites guest speakers to present on a wide range of topics. Each Distinguished Speaker Series event is open not only to WAB parents, students and educators, but also to the broader Beijing community.
WAB Rock in the Park
WAB Rock In The Park is held every year in May. It is the biggest event on the WAB calendar and attracts over 500 families from the international community. This event is run in conjunction with the WAB Fun Fair event which is organized by Parent Link volunteers.
Career Fair
WAB’s Annual Career Fair is held in the beginning of the second semester. We invite professionals representing varied career fields to speak with our High School students. This broadens their horizons and deepens understanding of career choices.
WAB Parent Link Fun Fair
The WAB Parent Link Fun Fair is the most hilarious, exhilarating and wackiest annual family event of the year! It’s a carnival-like day of fun for the entire WAB community. Enjoy water slides, bouncy castles, music and gymnastics displays - you name it!
Community Picnic
Every August, the WAB Community Picnic will invite everyone in the community. There will be activities for the whole family with a carnival style array of games for all age groups on Tiger Field. Community picnic will have something for everyone.
TEDxYouth@WAB
TEDxYouth@WAB is an independently organized TEDx event with the consent and licensing from TED.com. It is planned and organized primarily by Middle and High School students, including speakers from across WAB.
WAB is much more than a school; as students, we are much more than students; as an individual, I’m much more than an individual. I am myself, but WAB made me understand I have a role in my surrounding community.WAB Alumni
